Cloud & Identity
Cloud Security Architect Recruiting
Designs and governs security across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud environments, including containers and Kubernetes.
About the role
A Cloud Security Architect defines how the company secures its cloud environments. That covers account and landing zone design, identity and access in the cloud, network controls, data protection, container and Kubernetes security, and the guardrails that let engineering teams move fast without creating risk.
Cloud security talent is in high demand and short supply. We focus on candidates who have secured production environments at real scale, not just passed certification exams.
Typical responsibilities
- Design secure landing zones, account structures and guardrails
- Define cloud identity, network and data protection standards
- Secure container and Kubernetes platforms
- Oversee cloud security posture management (CSPM/CNAPP) tooling
- Review infrastructure-as-code and cloud architecture changes
What we assess in candidates
- Depth in the cloud providers you use
- Infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code experience
- Container and Kubernetes security knowledge
- Experience with multi-account or multi-cloud environments
How we search for a Cloud Security Architect
We match candidates to your actual cloud footprint. A structured technical conversation covers an environment they secured, the guardrails they built and how they worked with engineering teams to adopt them.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need someone who knows all three major clouds?
Rarely. It is usually better to hire deep expertise in your primary cloud, with working knowledge of the others.
Is this role remote-friendly?
Yes. Cloud security architects are among the most remote-friendly security roles, which also widens the candidate pool across the US.
